Economic Development Council

The Overland Park Chamber Economic Development Council (OPEDC) was established in 1989 to attract new businesses as well as expand and retain existing businesses in Overland Park. The program is an investment partnership among the City of Overland Park, the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce and more than 65 private business community investors.

The OPEDC facilitates business recruitment by providing information and services to encourage and assist relocation decisions. Quality hands-on service and responsiveness is our key to success. The OPEDC also works with existing businesses to identify and address growth opportunities and issues. Through daily communication with our businesses, the OPEDC can monitor trends and conditions, provide guidance and adjust needed services to maintain and expand Overland Park's business base.

The Overland Park Chamber Economic Development Council's (OPEDC) mission is to attract, expand and retain the Overland Park business base. The OPEDC is an investment partnership among the City of Overland Park, the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce and more than 70 private business community investors.
