The Overland Park Chamber of Commerce offers several general affiliation task forces, including the Diplomats, the State/Federal Affairs task force and the City/County task force.  You and your organization's involvement is necessary for the continued success of our community.

Special Affiliation Task Forces

Overland Park Economic Development Council
Chair: Leo Nunnink - UMB Bank
Chair-Elect: Mike Lally - Olsson Associates
Signup: Economic Development Members Only

State/Federal Affairs Task Force
Chair: Bob Williams, Waddell & Reed
Meets: Bi-monthly during legislative session, monthly in fall. Noon - 1:30 p.m.
Limit: 50 members (Prepaid signup)

Purpose:

• Research, recommend, track and advocate state/federal legislative business priorities
• Sponsor legislative breakfasts, receptions and luncheons
• Publish legislative voting record, agendas and guides
• Communicate with legislative bodies and government leaders
  
  

Diplomats
Chair: Ed O'Connor, PC Partners, Inc., and Kirk Young, Young HR Services, Inc.
Board Liaison: Ed O'Connor, PC Partners, Inc.
Meets: Monthly on first Wednesday, 7:45 - 9 a.m.
Limit: 50 members

Purpose:

• Support new members
• Act as public relations arm for chamber by encouraging involvement from membership.
• Implement member retention programs
• Assist in grand openings, ribbon cuttings and ground breakings
• Conduct annual membership drive
